Indicated for wounds at high risk for infection:

• Contaminated wounds
• Penetrating wounds
• Abdominal trauma
• Compound fractures
• Lacerations greater than 5 cm
• Wounds with devitalized tissue
• High risk anatomical sites—hand, foot
